Complete Deck Rebuild
This was a complete Deck rebuild of the 1st floor deck and new decking and railings on the 2nd floor deck. The framing of the 2nd floor deck is cantilevered out from the house framing and was in great shape so we were able to reuse it. Once demo began our New Hampshire remodeling contractor quickly realized that the house had no building wrap or door/window flashing installed when it was constructed. We had to strip the siding and install housewrap and proper door flashing details in order for our new deck to be flashed in properly. I presented several designs to the homeowner for the new deck before he fell in love with the final design which was very functional with the new patio he was going to have built later that year. The deck features a double picture frame layout for a nice clean look. The choice of decking is a product made by Kleer which is a solid PVC material with a very durable PVC cap applied. The railings are RDI Transform which have an extremely durable acrylic coating. Post cap lights were installed to give the desired accent lighting that the homeowner was looking for. The homeowner is extremely happy with the final product and is having us add an extension to the deck to accommodate his new kitchen remodel which we will be doing soon.
